Karios composed a diagnostic-led funnel for her: a free 12-question SAT readiness quiz that scored students into one of four bands and routed each to the appropriate paid programme. The funnel now converts at 9%. CAC dropped to $36/student.
How it actually unfolded.
The wedge for Priya was matching student starting-level to programme intensity. Stronger students felt patronised by the basic course. Weaker students felt overwhelmed by the advanced one. The same offer to everyone wasn’t working.
Karios built four parallel paid offerings, segmented by quiz outcome, with shared course content but different cohort intensities. Sales pages adapt their headline and proof points to the band the visitor scored into.
Priya hasn’t added new ad budget in five months. The conversion lift came entirely from the funnel architecture.
